Stockport Sports Village has recently completed an impressive gym renovation to elevate your experience with us. The new gym is now open so make sure to come check it out!

At Life Leisure, we really love what we do and the people we do it for. Here’s what you can expect to see in the brand-new gym:

Interactive coach led equipment
Dive into a world of possibilities with our new immersive cardio equipment with interactive workouts and personalised training programmes from iFIT. Whether you’re cycling on a virtual beach or conquering a challenging mountain trail, each workout will transport you into a realm of excitement!

Strength training
After conducting research and receiving feedback on what it is you want from the gyms, we’ve invested more in strength training equipment to provide you with the best possible workout space to achieve your goals. We’re talking dedicated cable areas, a brand-new range of weight machines and introducing kit that the gyms have never featured before from Matrix and Glute Builder.

Group exercise classes

Life Leisure offer a fantastic range of group exercise classes catering for all fitness levels and abilities, such as HIIT, Body Pump, Yoga and Spin. Some classes are more intense than others, but each class can be modified for all abilities with adaptations for exercises given where needed.

All classes can be booked up to seven days in advance and we highly recommend doing so where possible to avoid disappointment. Members can book via the Life Leisure app or website.

H1VE

H1VE is a group personal training studio located here at Stockport Sports Village.

H1VE classes combine cardio, functional, strength and conditioning training in a group personal training environment to give you a full body workout to remember. With fantastic equipment, state of the art lights and dedicated coaches, it’s easy to see why our members are hooked.

Kids and tots activities

Life Leisure Kids classes cater for children aged 5 – 12 years old and with our specially designed reward scheme encouraging children to make sessions part of their weekly routine.

We also host weekly stay and play sessions for the youngest members of our community.

Tennis

Stockport Sports Village is proud to be the home of Greave Tennis Club. Previously based in Bredbury, Greave Tennis Club is a fantastic addition to the hub and working the club the team at Stockport Sports Village hope to help to grow the sport locally.

Stockport Sports Village is home to the latest 3G Optima floodlit pitches which are available for hire. Daily SK Ballers 6-a-side leagues take place at the centre. Bookings are also available for clubs, schools, and private use.

Leisure key companion/carer card

Some families or individuals may be eligible for a Leisure Key which is delivered by Stockport Council. This provides discount to swimming and other activities across Life Leisure. In addition, if you are eligible for a Leisure Key Companion/Carer card, you will be able to access the activity for free accompanying an individual to a session. The following steps need to be taken to access this:

Check your eligibility criteria with Stockport Council here.
Complete any of the relevant information and submit proof of eligibility if required.
Once you have your Leisure Key and or Leisure Key Companion card, bring this into a Life Leisure centre and register for a Casual Leisure Key Bookings account at reception.

Gym equipment

For participants who can leave their wheelchair, all resistance machines can be accessed, along with some cardio equipment such as Recumbent bikes and Octane bikes.

The hand bike can be accessed easily for a wheelchair user. For more equipment options, we would recommend visiting Life Leisure Avondale, Life Leisure Cheadle or Life Leisure Houldsworth Village.

If you require any assistance or guidance on how to use the equipment and make the reasonable adjustments, please don’t hesitate to ask a member of the fitness team who would be happy to help.

Please note, no dogs are allowed anywhere on the premises, with the exception of guide dogs.
